MATCHLINE

Supplier price-list and product comparison

MATCHLINE

Supplier catalogue comparison with normalised fields and human review of uncertain matches.

Original concept. This interface illustrates a possible product.
01 / The task

Suppliers use different columns, units and names. Missing SKUs and varied spelling make simple row comparisons misleading.

02 / The solution

The import maps fields into an agreed schema. Exact SKU matches stay separate from similar-name candidates, which enter a review queue.

  • XLSX and CSV import
  • Column and SKU normalisation
  • Price and catalogue changes
  • Manual review and export
03

Field mapping for comparison

The user maps SKU, name, unit and price. Currency, package size and unit price are not automatically mixed without an agreed conversion rule.

04

Different evidence for different matches

Exact SKUs and similar names have different confidence. Original rows remain side by side. The user confirms or separates a pair before it becomes part of the change report.

Similar names need a decision. The items cannot be merged automatically.

This runs in your browser. No data is sent. State resets when you leave; downloaded files stay with you.

Context and limits +

A concept with synthetic catalogues. Similar names do not guarantee the same product. Ambiguous matches and unit conversions need a user decision.
