TEAMTIME

Team leave and absence planning

TEAMTIME

A team calendar with employee requests, overlap checks and manager approval. It shows who will be available on the selected dates.

Original concept. This interface illustrates a possible product.
01 / The task

Leave requests arrive in messages while the calendar lives elsewhere. Overlapping approvals can leave a team without the people it needs.

02 / The solution

Employees choose a period in a shared calendar. The system shows team availability and possible conflicts; a manager decides using department rules.

  • Team calendar
  • Absence requests
  • Date-overlap checks
  • Approval and status history
03

Check dates before approval

The selected period is compared with approved absences. A visible conflict lets the employee choose alternative dates. Department membership, required roles and allowed concurrent absences would follow team rules.

04

Manager decisions

A draft and an approved absence have separate states. A manager reviews the request and records a decision. HR integrations and notifications belong to a possible implementation.

05

Local demonstration

Choose dates, see an overlap with the sample schedule and complete a local approval step. No employee data or external system is used.

TEAMTIME / TEAM LEAVE

Check for overlapping leave

Overlap: a colleague with the same role is already on leave. Choose another period to keep the role covered.

This runs in your browser. No data is sent. State resets when you leave; downloaded files stay with you.

Context and limits +

An original concept using fictional employees and schedules. The demonstration changes calendar and approval state locally. It connects to no HR system, sends no messages and creates no real requests. The organisation defines its leave policies.
