Universal Mod Localization Engine

Game-mod translation with file validation

Universal Mod Localization Engine

Tools for extracting, translating and validating game-mod text across several formats, with saved accepted work and separate translation packages.

Work verified against its source.
01 / The task

Modded game text is spread across archives, tables, quests and resources. Direct string replacement can break identifiers, formatting and source-version links.

02 / The solution

Format adapters, protected fragments, translation memory and build checks form a reusable pipeline. Accepted work persists; invalid results return for correction.

  • PAK / LOCA / XML and JAR / JSON
  • Protected placeholders
  • Translation memory and resume
  • Validation and separate packages
03

Game-format support

BG3 support includes LOCA/XML reading and PAK assembly through Divine. Minecraft support includes language JSON in JARs, supported nested archives, resource packs and KubeJS overlays. Additional tools handle SNBT quests and NBT resources.

04

Technical-fragment protection

Technical fragments and placeholders are protected before processing. Missing, unknown and repeated markers are checked afterwards, preventing invalid output from silently entering a package.

05

Translation memory and packaging

Translation memory, package state and queues provide resume points. Output is validated and packaged separately from originals. Coverage and compatibility are assessed for a specific version.

Context and limits +

Supported adapters and pipeline stages are implemented. This is not a claim of complete translation for every mod, flawless AI output or compatibility with every modpack.
